voxer consultation for new teachers

Who I Am

I’ve spent more than 20 years in special education. I’ve worked with both families and school districts as a special education parent educator and teacher. I don’t believe that special education has to be adversarial. Instead, I help parents become more educated and comfortable while I work with their students.

If I do my job well– everyone wins!

What Makes Me Different

I am extremely unique in that I have spent the past 25 years as a special education teacher, special education administrator, district and school trainer, and special education parent educator.  I’ve facilitated more than 5,000 IEP’s, built district-wide programs, trained thousands of teachers, and supported hundreds of families through the often confusing and overwhelming world of special education.

As I help you learn more about special education and how it can help your student, you’ll gain more knowledge about it. This will lead to a better understanding which will, in turn, allow you to support your student. This can help encourage and increase success in special education.

What To Know Before We Start Working Together

I truly believe students get the very best when parents and schools work together and that well-educated, supported parents and staff make for the best relationships and outcomes. Since I strive to not only be a strong educator for students but also a special education parent educator, I can help your family with special education and transition processes.

If you are looking for someone to support you, be by your side, give you the information you need to be the superhero you already are, and guide you through this process, I am here for you.  I look forward to helping you along your journey!
